The Bar Council of India has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bar Council of England and Wales, along with the Law Society of England and Wales, for an exchange programme of lawyers and law students for mutual exchange of training and learning among the three countries. As per a statement issued by BCI, the MoU was signed during a meeting held in London on June 5 by the Chairman of Bar Council of India, the President of the Bar Council of England and Wales as well as the President of the Law Society of England and Wales. All Members of the BCI, including its Secretary Srimanto Sen, participated in the meeting. BCI Chairman Manan Kumar Mishra said the MoU was aimed at facilitating a healthy mutual exchange of ideas, learning and training of the legal fraternity of both jurisdictions.
