Central Government appoints 9 additional judges of Madras High Court as permanent judges

The Madras High Court on April 1, 2022  had the sanctioned strength of 75 judges,of which 60 judges were working and 15 vacancies

 The Central Government has thus notified the appointment of nine additional judges of Madras High Court as permanent judges of that Court.

The following are the additional judges who have been made permanent:

Justice Govindarajulu Chandrasekharan

Justice Veerasamy Sivagnanam

Justice Ganesan Ilangovan

Justice Ananthi Subramanian

– Justice Kannammal Shanmuga Sundaram

Justice Sathi Kumar Sukumara Kurup

– Justice Murali Shankar Kuppuraju

Justice Manjula Ramaraju Nalliah

Justice Thamilselvi T Valayapalayam.

The Central Government has notified the appointment of nine additional judges of Madras High Court as permanent judges of that Court.

After the recommendation made by the Supreme Court Collegium,  the Central government took the decision on May 10, 2022 to make the nine judges permanent.
